Replacement water heater for Lincoln home owner.

The Lincoln home owner’s 50 gallon natural gas water heater had rusted out, the water heater was 12 years old. A water heater can last from 6 to 30 years. This depends on the quality of your water and what type of minerals that are in your water.
I replaced the water heater with a new Rheem 50 gallon natural gas water heater, all new water supply lines, new gas flex supply line, new expansion tank, and a water heater earthquake strap .
Note….prolonging water heater life !
If you flush your water heater, this helps in prolonging the life of the water heater, checking for leaks at the water connections also helps. I’ve seen water heaters rust out on the top of the water heater, do to leaking water connections. It can take a long period of time for the leak to show up at the bottom of the water heater, the insulation in the heater will soak up the water like a sponge until it can’t soak up anymore water, and then the water shows up at the bottom.
It maybe to late to just to replace the water supply lines or NOT depending on how long it has been leaking.
